What investment apartment should you buy in Sydney?
On February 14th, Simon Cohen shared his opinions with Domain.com.au about the key criteria property investors should look for before buying in the dynamic market of Sydney. These factors are outlined using the voice of leaders in the property industry.
“If you’re after depreciation, you’ll go for new property. If you’re after holding something long term, then I’d tend to go for an older apartment as there are usually fewer problems and lower strata fees.”
Some tenants prefer smaller blocks, believes Simon Cohen, and there will be less competition when it comes time to sell. But then again, if a renter is after amenities like a pool, gym or gardens, then a larger block is more likely to supply those.
