The client, who runs a busy restaurant in Newcastle was looking for an investment property to add to his portfolio. With a budget around $1M, we decided that the best strategy would be to buy a small inner west or inner city house where there had been consistent long-term capital growth. Being time poor and a distance away, he needed to feel comfortable with the potential opportunity before making the trip to Sydney to see the property. After around 3-4 weeks Leon Jacques had lined up 3 properties for him to see. An off-market, an on market and a pre-auction. The property we liked most was the pre-action property which already had quite a bit of interest, To secure this property we had to move quickly to put ourselves ahead of the pack. Within 24 hours we exchanged on this property at just over $1M and well below the suburbs average price for a similar property.
