• Provide additional permanent 36,000 dwellings and 47,000 jobs along the corridor by 2031.

• Population of the ‘Hills District’ will grow from 165,000 to 259,000 or 57% by 2036.

• Population of Northern Blacktown + St Marys to grow from 60,000 to 200,000 or 72% by 2036.

• The lowest densities (0-6 dwellings/ha) yet to be developed are around Kellyville (N of Norwest Business Park) and within the North Kellyville release area.

• The higher densities (12-25 dwellings/ha) are at existing Castle Hill & N Rouse Hill.

• On the assumption that 48% of the population is in the resident workforce, there was a deficit of 183,000 jobs in Western Sydney at 2006. This is expected to increase to 321,000 by 2036.

• The fastest growing employment nodes between 2001 and 2006 have been the business parks of Macquarie and Norwest. this infrastructure will further those business parks and may create new ones. New dedicated employment precincts are at Marsden Park & Riverstone West –> both capacity to add 22,000 jobs over 25 years.
