Meet Murray Fredericks
Murray Fredericks is a photographer and visual artist working across landscape based projects in locations such as the Greenland Icecap and at Lake Eyre. Working mostly alone in these vast, featureless locations, the projects run over many years. The resulting series convey both an internal and external experience of emptiness and the void.
His works, both still and moving image, have won various awards and sit in major public and private collections internationally.
Commissioning clients include the BBC Natural History Unit, National Geographic Magazine, ABC and major architects.
Fredericks holds two Masters degrees from COFA (UNSW,) both based around landscape themes.
