First-home buyers down but not out in Victoria
Cohen Handler’s co-founder and CEO, Ben Handler, has been featured in a recent News Corp Australia article exploring the state of first home buyers in Victoria.
Geelong Advertiser real estate reporter Peter Farago reports on the recent ABS estimate that about 15 percent of new home loans went to first-home buyers in Victoria in January this year. That’s 1747 first-time buyers who borrowed an average $344,900.
Ben Handler advises that first and foremost homebuyers need to thoroughly research the area they would like to live in, allowing them to better understand the true value of a property.
