Double Bay Auction Results – 14 June 2011
Last night in the auction room there was strong competitive bidding and some great buying with almost all properties selling. Ten (10) properties went up for auction, eight (8) were sold, two (2) were passed in.
Two properties to note that represented excellent buying were 2/40 Carlotta Road in Double Bay and 29 Beaumont Street in Rose Bay. 2/40 Carlotta Road was a large 3 bed/2bath/2car apartment with approx 380sqm internal/external with private pool for $2,100,000 – It was last sold for $1,910,000 in 2003. Also, 29 Beaumont Street in Rose Bay which is a 4bed/3bath/2car family home with a pool on approx 600sqm was purchased for $2,250,000 which is another example of capitalising on great buying opportunities in this market.
Auction clearance rates in Sydney on Saturday were 52% compared to 55% the week prior.
